FRONTOPLASTY

 

The top face is the area where the first signs of aging are evident more often. Photo aging is given for different reasons such as exposure to sun and wind continuously without using protection. The gravity over the years and heritage lines are generated by the dermal excess or loss of adipose tissue in different facial areas. TYPES OF SURGERY

 

- Frontoplasty Classic. 

This technique is performed in order to make soft tissue traction forehead. To perform this procedure requires an incision in the scalp which the surgeon performs the surgical procedure and executes the tensioning dermal.

 

- Endoscopic Frontoplasty.

Unlike classical Frontoplasty this procedure requires an endoscope where a direct view of the procedure being performed will have. Under endoscopic vision small cuts to the muscles responsible for the movement of the front which generate the lines of the facial area is done.

 

WHY SURGERY?

 

Ideal candidates for this type of procedure are patients between 40-60 years old because this part of the tensile strength is lost in the skin, producing expression lines .The lines create an appearance of tiredness and sadness at which these procedures are recommended to improve the appearance and self-esteem. .

 

POSTOPERATIVE CARES SURGERY

 

- Post-surgical procedure microspore dressings or elastic bandages are left, which will only be removed by the surgeon.

 

- It is important that after the procedure the patient to sleep early days at 45 degrees in order to reduce inflammation.

 

- Putting ice after the second day in the affected area swollen and alternate them with a warm wet cloth.

- The use of caps or hats are essential during the first month of recovery, in order to avoid sun exposure directly. 

 

WHAT IS NORMAL?

 

It is normal after the procedure this bruising and swelling which may extend into the eyelids and sometimes reaches up of the cheeks. The inflammation may increase during the first two days and then began to decline gradually. It is also possible to have a taut feel on the skin and decrease in sensitivity..

 

RESULTS

 

The results will be long term and get skin without lines and more tense. Keep in mind that environmental factors, gravity and aging cause the lines get long term again.
